I figure that I have until August 1st to have a contract in place on a new place in DC otherwise I might have to rent for a few months while looking for a new place.
As of today, I have two very different condominiums on my short list.
The first is the affordable 10th Street condo within walking distance to work - more information is posted directly below.
The second option is the S street condo in the yellow rowhouse on Dupont Circle. For more information on that place, click here.
There's a third option: keep looking.
What do you think? Vote in my poll!

if I had to pick from those 2, I like the yellow brick house better,I DO NOT like all the crazy colors inside, but I like all the little nooks that are pictured, but I will be voting to keep looking! The price seems a bit much based on your info provided. I think house hunting is like finding a wedding dress....you know when you put it on and if you don't get that feeling, you have to keep searching...... Don't settle! GOOD LUCK!
ReplyDeleteI think the first thing to go would be the bold paint colors. I would go with more neutral colors. The other news on that yellow house condo is that the seller agent is willing to do a major price cut ... like $50K. Now whether the seller goes along with that is another story.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Dara. I love the brick detail, fireplace, stained glass window, and hardwood floors in the S Street condo and I think these things make it more homey feeling and unique than the 10th Street condo. Ditto on the bold colors - come on people! If you're not feeling it though, definitely keep looking. But, if they take of $50k I think you should definitley get this one. :)
