The Cairo

Does this building look familiar?

It should.

It is the Cairo, my old building in Dupont Circle. I always regretted leaving there, and now I quite possibly may be moving back there.

Here's what happened.

Today I was driving around as I typically do on Sundays and checking out open houses and just for fun, I thought I would stop by my old stomping grounds to check out a two-bedroom apartment listed for sale at the Cairo.

As soon as I walked into the lobby, I felt right at home and almost as if I had never left. I proceeded up to the apartment and loved what the current owner did with the bathroom upgrade and flooring. In fact I know the owner very well since I served on the condo board with her for a couple years. She is a very pleasant and smart lady.

So needless to say, I am seriously thinking about making an offer but first, I will revisit the apartment again tomorrow with my agent and show him the apartment and give him a tour of the building. They say you should never put in an offer without seeing a property twice so that is what I am doing.
