Logan Station

Back in the spring of 2007 when I was house-hunting, I checked out a condo at Logan Station, a new construction condominium featuring townhouse style units with private entrances on the first floor, and regular flats on the upper units. I've seen a few units in other developments by this builder and the grade of construction is superior to your average grade materials in most newer condo buildings in the DC area.

I seriously considered putting in an offer on a unit with a private entrance, but changed my mind at the last minute, mainly because it was at the top of my price range since I would have to buy a parking spot separately-an extra $40,000 at the time.

So as it turns out, the very same condo is now back on the market and at a much lower price. I loved this apartment because of its high ceilings, higher-grade finishes, character, and a private entrance with a small yard for Gabbie.

I looked up the purchase price back in the summer of 2007 and it went for $454,000 including the parking spot. It is now listed for $439,000 and that includes parking. I'm guessing this will sit on the market for a while at that price.

The flyer says: "First resale of this upgrade-packed unique unit; a private outside entrance and porch gives it a townhouse feel! Featuress incl 10' ceilings with crown, H/W floors throughout, 42" plasma TV, marble bath, granite/stainless KI, gas heat/cooking. GARAGE PARKING (#P24) & EXTRA STORAGE ROOM (#3) INCL IN LP. Steps to all DC amenities!!"

And here is an article with more information about Logan Station.
