Old Town Greens

So a few years ago I was browsing around in Alexandria neighborhoods and discovered this development called Old Town Greens. It is a ten-year old development off of George Washington Parkway and just about 5 minutes south of National Airport.

Just for fun I went back there today to an open house and came away quite interested. I got a positive vibe while there too.

I know! I know! I said the plan is to move back to DC but to be honest I have been looking in DC since Memorial Day when Sylv was in town and I've probably seen more than 50 homes in DC. And the results so far? Zilch. So I am losing my patience with a DC home search, remembering clearly why I ended up moving to Virginia in the first place, and broadening my house-hunting strategy.

The condo I saw today is a two-bedroom, two-bath with a deck and a garage in what's called a stacked townhouse. There are usually four floors in stacked townhouses and in this case, the condo takes up the bottom two floors.

Here's what the flyer says: "This sun-filled, immaculate end unit condo is truly a delightful place to call home! The cheerful open floor plan features 2 BR/2BA, fireplace deck off the kitchen. Best of all is the unbeatable location! Just steps from award-winning shops restaurants of Potomac Greens all of Old Town Alexandria. Braddock Metro is 1 mi.,5 min. to National Airpt. The one you've been waiting for!"

By the way you'll notice some over-the-top wall paper in one of the bedrooms (the one on the lower level). That would be the first thing to go.
